Maestra Amor (meaning Love) is a native Spanish speaker from Chihuahua, México. She received her B.A. in Architecture from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM)(Institute of Technology and Higher Education of Monterrey). Maestra Amor is the proud mommy of three beautiful boys Santiago (11), Lorenzo (9), and Dante (4). Upon the birth of her children she made the career shift to that of an educator to ensure that not only her children but the community children would develop solid core values, Spanish language proficiency, and cultural enrichment.

Maestra Amor has been inspiring children to learn and love Spanish for over 12 years. She has served as a volunteer at her children’s preschool and at the Palo Alto YMCA for the Kid’s Club childcare program, in addition, she was a Spanish After-School Instructor for elementary school children at Berlitz Languages, Inc. Since 2010 Maestra Amor has been a Preschool Teacher. In 2013, when a mother graciously offered Maestra Amor a site in Palo Alto that she could transform into a home-based childcare space, she opened her door in October 2013 "JDM Charleston Campus". Since then Maestra Amor has been working diligently to design not only the unique space where the children play and learn, but the method as well. With a refined vision, in February 2016, Maestra Amor opened her doors and her heart to welcome children to mi casita de español, a safe, caring, and nurturing home environment for children to learn in Spanish.​

Maestra Amor got her Outdoor Classroom Certification on 2017.

Maestra Araceli was born in Chimbote, Peru, but grew up in Lima, Peru. She studied Metallurgic Engineering in La Universidad de Lima in Peru. For 12 and half years, she lived, studied and worked in Tokyo, Japan. After that, she lived in the UK for 7 years. She has been living in Palo Alto for the past 9 years. She is married and has two adolescent boys. She speaks English, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese.
